Don’t fret any longer…

Windows 7 has a new feature called Snap, and it will literally make resizing windows a snap!

Let’s say that you want to compare 2 separate windows side by side on your desktop.

With Windows 7, you can now perform this incredibly helpful task!

To see the Windows 7 Snap feature, simply drag one window to the left of the screen and you will notice that it will “snap” to fill the entire left side of your screen. Then, drag the other window to the right side of the screen and you will notice that it will “snap” to fill the entire right side of the screen.

There are 4 regions that you can drag your windows to: the left, right, top or bottom of your screen.

Each region that you drag a window to does something different. As you already know what dragging a window to the left or right does we’ll go ahead and explain what dragging your window to the top and bottom of your screen will do.

Dragging a window to the:

  • Top of your screen maximizes your window to full screen
  • Bottom of your screen makes the window extend to the top and bottom of your screen, without expanding it to the left or right.

The Windows 7 Snap feature will greatly increase the order and organization of your desktop and will enhance your workspace by creating more space for you to work. With a work environment that is clean and organized, you will get more work done and you will be able to get it done a lot faster!

Have Windows 7?  Give it a try, resizing windows has never been easier!
